This is an excellent article - Liz Dodd always gets to the root of it. I despair at such bone headed decisions and cannot put my trust in such leadership. Yet another example of a male lead hierarchy seriously detached from the real world in poor parishes and beyond and dare I say it even the Word of God. It makes me rage inside but I’m certain Gods love will prevail despite the attempts of the Bishops conference to obstruct practical flows of money to the poorest - and become more exclusively male ( and by default more excluding of non males ) in the language of the gospels.
