Wine production and consumption are reported to be in worldwide decline. According to the International Organisation of Vine and Wine, extreme climatic conditions resulted last year in the lowest yield levels since 1961. During the same year, consumption has been adversely affected by cultural and generational shifts, as well as inflationary pressures that have increased costs and diminished spending power.
